What is Recruitment?

Recruitment is the process of attracting, sourcing, interviewing and hiring qualified candidates for job opportunities within an organisation. A recruitment agency like Get Recruited acts as an intermediary between those who seek employment and those who are the employers.

A recruitment agency’s main role is efficiently matching available job opportunities with suitable candidates from their database or talent pool. They save employers time and effort in the hiring process by taking care of the initial recruitment stages

Here at Get Recruited UK, we are not your average recruitment agency, we use an innovative blend of technology and the human touch to ensure that the individuals we are working with are not just filling a vacancy, but they are taking a role that will help to build their career in a way that resonates with their core values. This is one of the fueling factors behind our ‘Powered by People’ motto.

Recruitment agencies are extremely important in today’s job market as there are many things they can do that a normal hiring team cannot.

Here at Get Recruited, we have access to a large talent pool of candidates; we also work on a 90% referral basis so our recruitment agency has candidates who wouldn’t be found on typical job boards.

Because of Get Recruited UK’s large talent pool, we have access to passive candidates. We can reach out to those who are not actively job-seeking but may be open to new opportunities.

Get Recruited is not a ‘quick placement’ recruitment agency, we specialise in Sales, Finance, Marketing, Insurance, and Commercial recruitment. This means our specialist recruitment consultants spend the time getting to know the needs of your business and understanding what’s important to you.

The Recruitment Process:

Job Analysis and Description is the first step in the recruitment process. Recruiters at Get Recruited will clearly define the job requirements, responsibilities, qualifications and skills needed for the position. This information is used to create an accurate and detailed job description.

Sourcing Candidates is next, our recruiters will first look through the internal database Get Recruited currently has, and then they will source candidates through other various channels such as job boards, current networks, referrals, LinkedIn etc.

Once candidates have submitted applications, these applications will be carefully screened by our recruiters here at Get Recruited. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and requirements for the role will be placed on a shortlist.

These shortlisted candidates will then speak to our recruiters, learn more about the role, talk about their skills and experience and be given any other relevant information.

Once both the recruiter and the candidate are happy, their CV will be sent over to the company that is hiring, if they are happy with the candidate an interview will be arranged.

Before any interviews our recruiters here at Get Recruited ensure to brief each candidate fully, on things such as who will be interviewing them, what their role is in the company, tips on how to answer tricky questions, where the interview will be held etc. They make sure each candidate is prepared and ready to perform at their best in the interview.

Based on the interview results, successful candidates will then be called by our recruiters with the good news and will officially be presented with a job offer.

Once the candidate accepts the job offer, the onboarding process will begin.

Benefits of Getting Recruited

Tips on getting recruited:

Tailor your CV:

With each application you make, alter the copy of your CV to match the specific job you are applying for. Make sure to highlight the relevant skills, experiences and accomplishments that are the most relevant to the role you are applying for.

Along with one of our recruiters at Get Recruited helping you with interview preparations, you will need to prepare in your own time. Research the company and the role thoroughly, practice answering common interview questions and prepare insightful questions to ask the interviewer.

Following up:

After your interview, be sure to send a thank you email to the interviewer(s), reiterating your interest in the role and thanking them for their time. At Get Recruited our recruiters will be touching base with the interviewers and yourself so they can always pass along your message of gratitude and interest.
