COMMERCIAL CLAIMS HANDLER
NORTH LONDON
£27,500 to £35,000 + COMPANY BONUS SCHEME

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited is proud to be representing a prominent Insurance Broker based in north London and one of the most respected in the industry. They have asked for assistance in hiring a commercial claims handler in to their well established team. This award winning broker with over 40yrs experience and offices in London & New York who pride themselves on how they represent their clients and how they treat their employees as a key focus.

The role will involve day to day client contact handling and managing claims from first notification through to settlement. This will include Property, Liability and Financial Lines claims. You will be working within a fast paced environment where you will benefit from 1st class support and training while working along side some of the industries premier individuals.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with insurers, underwriters, loss adjusters and other third parties regarding the handling of claims and pro-actively chase for settlement.
  • Manage client claims, including advice on whether a claim is covered, issue and handling of claim forms, always progressing claims towards settlement whilst managing the clients expectations.
  • Deal with claims enquiries from staff, clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional manner.
  • Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and account executives.
  • Input data onto the Acturis system in line with claims procedure.

PERSON & SKILLS:

  • Good all round general insurance knowledge
  • Previous claims handling experience
  • Customer focused mentality
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • A willingness to go above and beyond for clients
  • Capable at working under pressure


DESIRABLE

  • Currently using Acturis, so knowledge of the system would be an advantage when applying.
  • Previous knowledge of Property, Liability, Financial lines claims.
