THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're excited to be exclusively recruiting for a highly successful FMCG business located in the Manchester area that is now seeking a Head of Sales to join their business as part of their next phase of expansion.

As Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for setting the strategy to achieve the growth plans, leading the field sales team and managing key client relationships, such as, Holland & Barrett and Ocado, as well as key wholesaler relationships.

The successful candidate will need experience of leading sales professionals, setting sales strategies and hands-on client relationship management. In addition, it's essential that you have experience within a similar industry such as; Personal Care, Body Care, Natural Beauty, Health Foods or VMS.

THE PERSON:

  • Must have in a Senior Sales Manager / Head of Sales position or similar within the FMCG space, with experience in one of the following categories: Personal Care, Body Care, Natural Beauty, Health Foods, VMS or similar.
  • Experience of setting sales strategies to achieve sustained and consistent organic sales growth through the expansion of existing account and and new account acquisition
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of selling to independents as well as key accounts. Any experience of working with Holland & Barrett or Ocado would be an advantage but not essential
  • Proven experience of leading and developing a team of field sales professionals to improve performance and
  • Any experience of European / International sales would be a significant advantage, but is not essential
