THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is working exclusively with a well know retail brand in the UK. They have a turnover of over £150M and are looking to grow their finance team by hiring an experienced Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will be reporting into the Head of Finance and have the autonomy to own the month end close process, including production of the statutory accounts for interim and full year. The Management Accountant duties include.
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Month end accounts close for multiple entities, including consolidation and board pack preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Half year / Year end statutory close whilst also assisting in the annual audit preparation and drafting statutory accounts for each entity
- Preparation and monitoring of company wide Key Performance Indicators on a daily basis to highlight key variances against expected targets and ensure they remain accurate against month end accounts
- Developing a detailed knowledge of our internal processes, you'll detect potential issues and suggest feasible solutions in a bid to enhance overall profitability and financial control
- Working to actively promote new ways of working across departments to reduce manual data tasks and ensure consistency in reported figures
- Handling ad-hoc analysis as required
MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT KEY EXPERIENCE:
- ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience in a similar level Management Accountant role.
- Sage line 50 preferred however not essential.
- Microsoft Excel experience, with good working knowledge of advanced formulas and PIVOT tables
- Power BI reporting is preferred however not essential.
- Excellent numerical skills, being able to spot trends and changes in data, as well as a strong arithmetic ability (percentages, multiplication etc)
THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT SALARY IS UP TO £42,000 BASE + BENEFITS
